Thanks for sharing your lovely home in Ivry with us. It could not have
been nicer.
CloseThanks for sharing your lovely home in Ivry with us. It could not have been nicer. The kitchen was perfectly equipped, and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Since the weather was fairly chilly, we especially enjoyed sitting by the wood-burning stove and the beautiful fireplace and reading the excellent guidebooks and information on the area that you kindly provided. Ivry is such a practical base from which to explore the lovely surrounding area - the charming town of Beaune, the vineyards, and nearby chateaux - or just to take walks in the countryside on the grounds of Chateau de Coraboeuf or to the Roman column in Cussy la Colonne. Our eight-year old daughter loved it as well. We hope to return soon again and would recommend Les Vignes to anyone wanting to discover this beautiful and interesting part of Burgundy.
All the best,

We were pleased with how close by car the property was to Beaune and the wine villages,
ClosePam,
Thanks - we had a lovely time and felt the accommodation was perfect, with a homely feel.
I particularly liked the fact that there were some basic provisions (tea, salt/pepper, olive oil etc) available, as in so many S/C properties you have to bring everything with you. I also enjoyed the
selection of guide books, maps and leaflets on the area, and the bikes. I bet there aren't many bikes from Carnoustie lying around in France! (I grew up near Perth)We were pleased with how close by car the property was to Beaune and the wine villages, although it was a little too far for a leisurely cycle.
All in all a very enjoyable week.

I can safely say that of all the holiday homes we have ever stayed in Les Vignes was the best equipped and the most like home.
CloseDear Pam
Thanks for getting in touch.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Ivry-en-Montagne and I can safely say that of all the holiday homes we have ever stayed in Les Vignes was the best equipped and the most like home. In fact, I like your white bedroom furniture so much, I'd love to know where you got it, as we will be doing up my daughter's bedroom soon and it is just what I had in mind.
The kitchen equipment was a pleasant surprise, it's very unusual to find such a well stocked kitchen in a rental home. We did not do a lot of cooking but if we had wanted to do so, there was plenty of scope for it.
We liked the high standards you set e.g. towels all matching and of very good quality. I feel that there is more incentive to look after the property if it is well maintained and I hope you find that with all your guests.
The house was immaculately clean and in pristine order.
We found the bikes very good and used them every day. With our own two bikes as well, it meant we could go out as a family, though almost every road led downhill. As one of the locals said (in French) as we puffed up another hill, "It's called Ivry en Montagne for a reason".
We enjoyed the peace and tranquillity very much and I have recommended Les Vignes to a friend. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bedrooms light and airy and delightful.

Thanks for the e mail. We had a lovely week thank you.
The cottage was very homely, well-equipped and in a quiet location. We would certainly consider using it again as it was an ideal base for the vineyards and chateaux of the area.
Hope the season was profitable and all the best for future seasons.

CloseDear Pam
We had an utterly fabulous week in Ivry, thank you.
Generally it was all great and I really liked the system of replacing things that run out so you don't have to buy all the 'basics'. We did lots of cooking and the kitchen was very well equipped.
Otherwise thanks so much for a great stay, I'd definitely recommend it to friends.
Best wishes Jo
Ps we loved your music collection - very similar taste to ours!

It was the best and most comfortable Gite that we have stayed in.
ClosePam,
Just wanted to drop you a note to say that we had a lovely stay at your Gite. The weather was perfect and the area beautiful. I think we can also safely say that it was the best and most comfortable Gite that we have stayed in; your attention to detail also helped to make the stay even more pleasurable.
Finally, Diana and Patrice were brilliant and could not do enough to help.
Best regards
Matthew and Lesley
